I’m using this cord with a Canon Xsi and when I first started using it I had no problems. After shooting with it a little while I’ve noticed that it is causing a problem with my display. The display shuts off intermittently and then it doesn’t allow me to make FStop or aperature adjustments because it transitions out of adjustment mode too quickly after I release the shutter button. I’m not sure if it is a problem with the cord or my camera because I had these problems once before but it went away till I got this cord. Also, it might be a problem with the battery charge but I really didn’t think about it until last night and I haven’t had a chance to test my therory.

I ordered this item twice, and both times, the provider sent a TTL cord instead of ETTL. I’d really like to buy it, but I guess I’ll have to get it from somewhere else!

This item never worked once for me. In addition I used it on two canon cameras, not only did it not work in either, but also hence forth both cameras no longer recognise my flash unit! Buy at your own risk!

This one for a Canon camera is better than the Nikon one. Cord shorter but still fits with less to have to wrap around handle. Daughter has Nikon, I have Canon. This one for Canon seems better except it was hard to get it to attach the flash mount to the handle.

After reading the reviews and not wanting to spend twice as much for the Canon cord I ordered the Opteka to use with my new 270EX speedlite. The camera does not recognize this cord at all. It recognizes the speedlite when mounted on the hot shoe, so I know that is not the problem. Very disappointing.
